Discovering yoga was finding a place to call home, in the quiet of the body and the mind.
Stefanie's innate desire to continue to learn and grow was the initial intention of attending yoga teacher training, a direction to expand her knowledge and practice. Recognizing the opportunity to share with others a practice that had become so dear to her heart and the connection of community she could create, teaching became integral.
Stefanie is a trauma conscious yoga teacher that aims to create a safe, welcoming space for students to quiet the mind and move through the body. As a lifelong student, she received her RYS200 hour teacher training with Alberta Hot Yoga Teacher Training and has continued to explore and expand her knowledge with a special interest in yoga psychology and mind-body connection.
Based in Calgary, Stefanie teaches a variety of both yoga and fitness classes at Oxygen Braeside. Growing up active and always moving, she aims to combine the movement of the physical body with mental ease. Stefanie loves to teach classes that are challenging for the mind and body but most importantly, full of heart. Stefanie's love for people, her positive energy and her energetic drive will encourage you to find your own personal strength and peace on the mat. Her intention in her teaching is to create compassion for oneself and to find ease and strength through the connection to our intrinsic self.
When Stef isn't busy teaching, she is spending time with her family and friends. Her spontaneity has her always on an adventure and trying something new whether its a new sport, food or a place to see!
